This is a very interesting video I came across from TED Talks.  Their mission statement is, “TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world.”  They basically study culture and give 20 minute talks.  What they say is not gospel truth.  However, most of what I have watched is pretty spot on to what we are seeing on a daily basis.

The video below is an interesting study on generational gaps and how today’s children/teenagers are affected by culture.

  1. What stood out during Jason’s findings?  Why?
  2. Were there any trends he talked about that bothered you?
  3. How might this information help in engaging and equipping teenagers at The Heights?
  4. What rhythms are many teenagers lacking in this iEverything culture?  What strategies did Jesus implement in making disciples that will transcend generational gaps?
  5. When you watch this, does the Spirit stir up urgency within you and how are you led to pray?
